That belief and those six people led to the eventual formation of the Marshall Area Stage Company. The company started in September 1999 after a community meeting run by Marshall Community Services.

Scenic Mount Hood could undergo some significant changes over the next few years, as Melrose park officials have submitted an application to study the feasibility of installing a wind turbine at the park, as well as hiring a consulting firm to examine improvements to the golf course, and the creation of passive recreation areas and athletic fields.
